Romantic, robust, and full of character, each bodega represented by Peter Grisley has a proud history and unique personality. All are small producers with their own style, flair, and approach to wine-making. What they have the common is a goal of creating fantastic wines worthy of your experience and investment.

Peter Grisley is the exclusive agent to five bodegas in the Rioja Region, as well as Coto de Gomariz located in Galicia:

The Rioja Region

Hugging the Rio Ebro and nestled against the dramatic Sierra de Cantabria mountains, Spain's Rioja region is admirably suited for the production of outstanding wines.

Situated on the south-facing slopes of the Cantabrian mountains, a unique micro-climate is created exclusive to the Rioja region. Climate and soils in this region unite to provide ideal conditions for the Tempranillo grape - Spain's classic vine - as well as other varietals. Small-estate winegrowers have been in the region for centuries, nurturing their vines and their craft, and continue to produce fine wines of elegant and exceptional character.

La Rioja is separated into three distinct areas – Rioja Alta, Rioja Baja, and Rioja Alavesa which is located in the Basque Country.
