Tanzer Rating: 2004 Ondalan 100 Abades: 91
Bright red. Seductive red berry and cherry aromas show impressive purity and a fresh floral tone. Silky and sweet, with energetic red currant and strawberry flavors, racy minerality and seemingly invisible tannins. Almost pinot-like in weight and finesse, finishing on vibrant mineral and floral notes. I find this awfully alluring.
Parker Rating: 2003 Ondalan 100 Abades: 87
The 2003 100 Abades has a more expressive nose with elements of scorched earth, spice box, cedar, red currants and cherry. This medium-bodied wine has good grip in an elegant style and should provide enjoyable drinking over the next 5 years.
